Mount Sea Fiesta

Last Aug 22, 2009/Sat. We went to Mount Sea Fiesta in Rosario Tanza, Cavite for our annual company outing. Its really great in that resort.. Its is perfectly good for the huge participant outing. Kahit hindi naman ako mahilig magswimming nagustuhan ko yung result na iyun.. The accomodation of each personnel is better than other resort. I really enjoy may half stay sa resort.. umuwi rin ako after lunch kasi i need to go to our house near sa resort because it my mom's birthday kailangan ko pumunta dun para mag cook ng favorite spaghetti nya..

Modus Operandi

Waaah.! 8/13, 3:30 pauwi pa lang ako from my work in diego silang, Taguig City, When 3 guys sumakay sa jeep namin.. mukang mga hindi talaga sila mapapagkakatiwalaan.. 1guy may ng 1000pesos sa kamay nya talagang pinapakita nya sa amin yung pera nya then yung isa may pouch na nakalagay sa under-arm nya.. tapos yung isa walang dala!.. pagpasok nila sa jeep yung isang lalaki nasa likod ng driver umupo, yung isa naman sa likod passenger seat and yung isa naman sa tabi ko (gitna, yung may dala ng pouch). When we arrived in Bluboz st, Pembo Makati City, Nagstop yung jeep namin ng 10-15minutes.. Maya-maya sinabihan nya yung 3 guys na bumaba na sa dun.. Kasi kung hindi sila bumaba dun.. Papahuli daw nya sila sa pulis near pembo.. nagulat kami!,.. so, i decided na bumaba na lang. Sumunod yung mga passenger sa akin.. That time nagkaroon na ng controntation between the driver and the 3 guys.. Sabi ng 3guys bakit daw sila pinapababa eh may pera naman sila pambayad.. Sabay pakita yung 1000pesos nilang dala.. Muntik na silang magkasapakan sa C5.. Hindi rin makaporma yung 3guys kasi ang daming tao sa blubos that time.. Sabi nya aalis lang daw kami kapag hindi na sila sasama.. Ayaw nya sakay yung 3guys nayun.! Hanggang ng decide na lang yung 3 guys na mag stay sa highway.. Umalis kami habang sinasabi ng driver " Mga gago kayo! Holdaper kayo?! bibiktimahin nyo po yung mga pasahero ko..!! Retired army ako! (sabay pakita ng army ID nya) Alam ko na yung mga tactics and strategies nyung yan.. Mga gago kayo! bakit hindi pa kayo namatay" Na' shock lahat ng mga pasahero dun sabay alis na kami.. Hhuhuhu~!! Lahat kami mga passenger nya nagkwentuhan na about sa nangyari.. until na umuwi ako ng house.. kinakabahan talaga ako!!! But before that day ang dami kung premonition! First, Parang hindi ako makaalis kanina sa bahay para pumasok kasi hindi ko dala yung small rosary ko.. Everyday dala ko yung rosary kung yun to protect me!.. pero that day hindi ko dala kasi hindi ko makita sa bulsa ko.. Umalis na lang agad ako kasi ma-lalate na ako. Second, Hindi rin ako makaalis ng store pauwi ng bahay kasi kinakabahan ako.. ang lakas ng kaba ko .. parang ibang iba talaga yung kaba ko that time pero its to late na para umuwi.. Huhuhu!! Kabadtrip talaga that time... Nagkaroon ulit ako ng phobia sa highway na yun.!! Dami ko pa naman dalang pera nun and valuables things sa bag ko.

MORAL LESSON:
> Dont bring any valuables things kung alam mung uuwi ka ng late night.
> Always pumili ng mga makakasakay mo..
> Wag umuwi ng mag-isa.
> Maging mapagmatyag sa bawat kasakay mo..
> Wag ipagwalang bahala ang mga kutob!
> Always pray! Dont forget to call gods guidance.

This controversial picture has been doing the rounds online today (this has been shared and re-shared through Facebook and blogs) but just in case you didn’t get to see this, here’s one major faux pas courtesy of broadsheet Manila Bulletin. Manila Bulletin “killed” President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo! What do you think of this and what do you think will happen to the section editor of Manila Bulletin? Check out the photo found in this entry.

Notice the caption: “With utmost care. Military honor guard carefully moves the coffin of President Arroyo out of the Manila Cathedral.”

The controversial Manila Bulletin photo was published in the early edition, page 20. However, I was told that the section containing the picture was promptly removed from the newspaper sets distributed in Visayas and Mindanao.

Ever since I spotted and shared this photo online, a lot of people have expressed their opinions. Some found it absolutely hilarious, some found it sad while some found it mere human error on the part of the Manila Bulletin section editor. I wonder if the section editor will get the boot or will he or she just be reprimanded?

Chocolate Cream Chip

Starbucks Chocolate Cream Chip

Step 1: Fill your blender with ice
Step 2: add your milk (approx. 2 cups) If you prefer, use heavy cream instead of milk - I always substitute milk for cream - -
Step 3: Add about 2 heaping tablespoons of the Nesquik chocolate powder
Step 4: Add lots of chocolate chips (about one cup)
Step 5: Put the lid on the top of the blender (surprisingly important step)
Step 6: Blend it until the ice cubes are no longer large chunks
Step 7: Pour in a tall glass
Step 8: Add your whipped cream on top and a few chocolate chip morsels on top of that.. (chocolate syrup is optional)
Step 9: Let the kids pick their own straws (definitely avoid the whole straw argument)

How to survive a deadline?

1. Stop procrastinating. Deadlines wouldn't be so bad if the natural human tendency wasn't to put it off until the last minute. Get started early. Work on it a little bit at a time. Most of the time, deadlines are very manageable.
2. Do it. The hardest part of writing is actually doing it. Nothing will motivate you more than starting - the greatest hurdle is the thought of starting. Put all of your feelings aside and start writing.
3. Keep a steady supply of goodies. Whatever, you like - ice cream, chocolate, candies, a squeeze ball or pieces of paper to throw at the trash can. Great comfort food choices include cheesecake, chocolate, sunflower seeds. Or some soup, crackers, and cheese; anything to keep you comfortable- but try to ensure your health doesn't suffer! Large doses of sugary foods will only hurt your long-term ability to concentrate! Take time to exercise, too- it's good for you and helps you unwind.
4. Back up religiously. This means every few minutes, without fail! There is nothing more disheartening than losing your work for an electrical or technical glitch.
5. Set a daily goal, whether it is a word count, page count, or finishing a major idea. Think of your book, paper or story one chapter or section at a time. Breaking things down into manageable pieces is the key to not being overwhelmed.
6. Relax. Bubble baths are an added bonus for the end of the day. Or anytime you feel stuck and need to unwind and think things through. Make those bubbles pile higher and higher.
7. Be sure to keep away from the TV, the internet and wikiHow. Once you drift away, it will lose you valuable time. And you may not return.
